Engineering Managers perform many roles and take on a wide range of responsibilities. An Engineering Manager should also possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

In addition to taking on the responsibilities of project management, performance management, mentorship, communication and recruitment, Engineering Managers also have many technical duties to perform and may even be serving as a lead developer or architect for various projects. Technical responsibilities may include utilizing, maintaining, designing and executing software engineering applications, preparing required technical proposals, presenting practical input for strategic technology decisions, administering support for various personnel and providing system metrics for clients.
