Solutions Architects interact with a client in order to fully understand the needs of the client and then design and develop an appropriate solution. The Solution Architect is usually the project team leader and is expected to provide guidance and motivation to the team throughout the project. They are also responsible for analyzing the process flow as described by the client, creating design plans, participating in or leading project meetings and possibly supporting pre-sales staff. Solutions Architects should hold a bachelor’s degree in either computer science or information technology. Many employers also look for creativity, superb time management, strong communication skills and good customer service skills.
