It has a package manager called RubyGems and built-in RESTful API architecture. Ruby on Rails is used to run large applications, including for websites like GitHub, Basecamp and Twitter. It's ideal for agile software development and allows for rapid prototyping.

Ruby on Rails developers/engineers will have experience with both Ruby and Rails. They're knowledgeable of HTML and CSS. Ruby on Rails developers/engineers will be familiar with JavaScript along with its frameworks like Angular, as well as libraries such as jQuery. They understand routing, MVC and layouts.
