A QA Manual Test Engineer uses quality assurance testing to assess software for bugs and other issues. This testing is performed using a series of manual processes. If an issue is detected, the QA Manual Test Engineer then reports the issue to a manager or supervisor. The job of a QA Manual Test Engineer requires someone who is organized and very detail-oriented. They must be able to execute test cases and ensure that the company’s applications, systems or products all work correctly. Specific duties for this job may include reviewing and analyzing system specifications, executing test scripts and examining the results, evaluating product codes according to specifications and creating logs to document testing phases and defects. The QA Manual Test Engineer frequently works with cross-functional teams to ensure the software’s quality throughout its lifecycle.

The requirements of QA Manual Test Engineer often include prior experiences, such as working as a QA tester, project manager or a similar position. They should also have an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills. They also must be able to document and troubleshoot errors that arise.
