A UX Designer or User Experience Designer is often asked to create a product that will provide a customer experience that will encourage loyalty to the brand. UX Designers use methods like research and analyzing the competitor’s products. UX Designers may be tasked with creating mock-ups, prototypes and user-testing studies all designed to gather feedback from the client. They then collaborate with the product and engineering teams to create flows, wireframes, storyboards and prototypes in order to ensure a high-quality end product and experience.
UX Designers may also be asked to create sales paraphernalia, help in launch deals or assist with other communications of the product to the public. Essential qualifications for UX Designers include creativity, attention to detail, time management skills, design and programming skills as well as technology awareness and understanding of HTML, CSS and other style languages. Degrees in media design or software engineering are preferred.
