The United Kingdom hits the first spot in Forbes' "Best Countries for Business" survey. It is gaining the attention of many large companies. Recently, Wells Fargo purchased new European headquarters in the financial district of London and Apple announced they will be following suit with a mammoth campus by 2021. Also on the tech scene is Facebook who is looking for 700,000 square feet to set up operations for 9,000 employees. Just within the inner city area of London, one can find roughly 40,000 tech companies, making London a good lure for talent from around the world.

London's social scene, culture and large public transportation network make living here a great adventure. As for the social scene, London offers some of the oldest pubs in the country, with some dating back to the 13th century and plenty of quirky bars and cafes with diverse cuisines for any craving. If, however, that craving is for culture, there is no problem there either. London is home to three of the top ten galleries and museums in the world and has nearly 900 art galleries to enjoy. Music lovers enjoy more than 17,000 performances each year at the more than 300 venues available, including the oldest music hall in the world, Wilton's Music Hall, built in 1743. The best thing is easily getting around with The Tube and lots of other transportation choices.
