A Solutions Architect interacts with a client in order to fully understand their needs and create a specific solution with the right technology. The Solutions Architect is the project team leader who is responsible for analyzing the process flow from the client, designing the plans and leading project meetings. Solutions Architects are expected to hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information technology along with a certification in enterprise solutions. Most employers will also ask to see demonstrable skills in computer proficiency, time management, teamwork, creativity, communication skills and customer service skills.
