They achieve this by first investigating and analyzing the current processes in place and then looking for ways of improving the structure, using different approaches such as IT solutions. Business analysts may also advise senior management as well as provide training for staff members.

Business Analysts work in a variety of industries. They may work full time or be employed on a contract basis. They’re able to effectively multitask, work under pressure and have good interpersonal skills. Most Business Analysts have a degree in math, accounting, business or a related field. Having prior experience in the target industry is also considered a strong advantage.
