It has always been a popular destination for one reason or another, but it now ranks high as one of the best places to live based on its blossoming job market and quality of life. For a while, there was quite a bit of focus on legalized marijuana in Denver and the rest of the state, which did bring some population growth and thus an increase in labor supply, but a dedication to supporting entrepreneurs and maintaining a below average crime rate, has created an economic environment that is drawing attention from new tech companies. Companies like Statera, Inc., MOO, Appian Corporation and SolarWinds are all operating well and hiring more. The business climate is in great shape and expected to improve.

Outdoor activities including 5,000 acres to enjoy them in, roughly 100 breweries, four major sports teams and a flourishing art and music scene, make Denver a popular place with millennials who are now making up a fifth of the population. The nightlife scene downtown makes downtown Denver living exciting and vibrant. Getting around is easy enough, especially with the city-wide bike sharing system. Biking is a popular past time and the 40-mile Cherry Creek Bike Path gets plenty of use. There is money to be made in Denver, literally, at the old U.S. Mint that has produced this nation's coins since 1906. It is open for tours for those 7 and older.
