Mobile Engineers are informational professionals who create intuitive and easy-to-use programs and mobile applications, most commonly but not always, for Android or iOS platforms. Similar to software engineers, Mobile Engineers specialize in making programs and user interfaces that anyone can use. iOS engineers, in particular, usually use Objective-C or Swift programming languages but other languages include Java and C#.

Mobile Engineers must be able to keep up with new and advancing technologies as they develop. Typical Mobile Engineer responsibilities include discussing a client’s requirements and proposed solutions, developing application programming interfaces (APIs) and keeping up to date with recent industry trends and best practices. Demand for Mobile Engineers is expected to rise much faster than other occupations.
