A Frontend Engineer is responsible for creating interactive functions on a company’s website that encourage users to engage. A Frontend Engineer should be proficient in languages like HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery in order to create interactive components for user interfaces like buttons, navigation and menus. A bachelor’s degree in computer science is usually needed and some employers will also look for additional certifications from SUN, IBM, Microsoft or Oracle.
