HDM is looking for a YouTube specialist to manage all aspects of the platform from strategy to everyday operations for Hearst's biggest lifestyle brands.
The ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes YouTube, can think of creative ways to improve video content and performance, and help brands understand the ever-changing world of social video. We want someone who is data-obsessed and can help translate numbers into qualitive actions that will help grow our audiences.
* Plan and publish video releases and schedules across multiple YouTube accounts * Optimize channels and create and organize video playlists, add custom end cards, and work with design teams to update channel design elements * Work with the video teams to monitor discussions and comments across multiple YouTube channels and engage with the communities * Join regular editorial discussion of video strategy, recommendations, programming and workflow * Research and identify tent pole subjects for brands, along with content recommendations and insights to help promote the channel * Become familiar with the brand voices by studying brand-specific trends and social media accounts * Advise in overall company video strategy by analyzing YouTube analytics as well as the overall video ecosystem to help drive more engaging and higher performing content and help the company make data-driven programming decisions * Communicate YouTube strategy internally by collaborating with various departments on video strategy, creating and updating company YouTube best practices and new channel optimization checklists
* 3-5 years experience strategizing for YouTube channels * Strong working knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research * Understanding of the digital video and a proven interest in keeping up with all video platforms across the web * Ability to experiment wisely with content and strategy to optimize for key metrics * Analytics expertise and experience building data-driven video strategies * Proven track record of audience growth on other channels * Strong organizational and communication skills * Ability to work on multiple projects and brands at once
