Yahoo! Finance is the largest business and financial news site in the world, with unrivaled access to data, insights, and original editorial content. We power experiences for 80+ million users globally every month. We're looking for a highly skilled engineer to help us evolve the backend of Yahoo! Finance. This system includes, but is not limited to:

* Data and machine learning platform powered by Apache Spark, Storm, HBase, Hive, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra


* Serving platform powered by Kubernetes, Vert.x, node.js, and Redis



A good candidate for this role is skilled with:

* Data structures and algorithms


* The Internet protocol suite, particularly HTTP/TCP/TLS/SSL


* Software engineering best practices


* System architecture and design


* Java and the associated ecosystem of tools


* Perhaps most importantly, learning more skills!
