Research and Development background in digital signal processing and wireless communication is required Meaningful experience includes one or more of the following areas: UMTS/HSPA, LTE, 5G, and physical layer algorithms with hands-on systems modeling, design, firmware implementation and debugging Deep understanding of cellular communication standards: 5G/4G/3G/2G Strong Physical Layer systems knowledge and hands-on experience Expertise in Matlab, C/C++, SystemC, Python for modeling and link-level simulation Expertise in methodical work to prototype and analyze systems architecture, and performing trade-off analysis Experience in transferring system design to firmware and writing firmware code wherever applicable Thrive in a reciprocal environment and can clearly communicate while expertly driving multiple projects across many teams Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to tackle everyday problems in innovative ways - Laser-focused on the smallest details

The Wireless Technologies team is looking for highly motivated Cellular PHY Firmware/Systems Architecture Engineers who can lead to design and develop our next generation of cellular products. You will work on Modem Firmware and Systems architecture, design and implementation in the Physical Layer FW group in WTE department and will engage with Standards team, Platform Architecture team, Protocol Stack SW team, RF SW team, Hardware team, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high performance best-in-class modem for wireless products. You are upbeat, innovative, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude.

Master/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications or equivalent majors. 10+ years of meaningful experience
