WebSphere Application Server Systems Management Developer

Your Role and Responsibilities

Join the WebSphere Application Server Systems Management development team for the opportunity to develop innovative new technology products, as well as your career, with one of the world's largest software-makers. In our agile development model, developers participate in small, autonomous, but aligned teams where they learn a variety of roles, including design, development, test, automation, and client interaction/support.

Candidates in this role will be responsible for development, Level 3 support, and defect resolution in the areas of Systems Management and Administration. Additionally, the candidate will use a host of technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Slack, open source, and more!

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

* Use of the Java programming language on multiple platforms (Windows and Linux)
* Strong analytical skills and a high desire to develop quality code in an agile and DevOps process working with architects, support engineers and software developers
* A problem-solving mindset
* Possess ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

* Prior knowledge of products in the WebSphere Application Server family (i.e Base, ND, Liberty)
* Practical working experience with debugging defects relating to memory leak, performance, and product integration
