Java/Web Software Develper

Position Description

A senior application developer with strong HTML5/JavaScript/CSS and Java/Spring development experience is needed to work in Firm Risk Technology Credit Risk development team in New York. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and building systems in a multi-tiered enterprise environment. The position requires strong server side Java/Spring design and development experience, strong analytical capability and problem solving skills, working OO design knowledge, and solid JavaScript knowledge. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are required. Responsibilities include designing, developing, enhancing and supporting applications using core Java, Spring, HTML5/JavaScript/CSS, and DB2 UDB. The developer must be capable of working independently on large projects, interacting with clients and business analysts, and leading projects and developers in a team consisting of local and remote team members.

Education Level

BS in Computer Science or relevant Technical Degree

Experience Level

10 Years of Experience in Software Development

Skills Required

5 years working with HTML5/JavaScript/CSS

5 years designing web/visual applications

8 years working with Java, Spring

5 years OO Design

5 years Database Design/Stored Procedure/SQL development (DB2 UDB, Oracle, Sybase etc.)

5 Years Linux/Unix/ksh/Perl experience
