Basic Purpose

The Web Development Manager works with Global Distribution managers to facilitate projects impacting key applications used by the teams. The Manager meets with senior managers of the various teams to identify needs, prioritize efforts, engage the appropriate technical resources, and manage the project from an IT standpoint. The manager meets regularly with clients to report the status of these efforts.

Management of these processes and functions include, but are not limited to: resource/staff management, budget oversight, performing detailed data analysis, documenting business and functional requirements, developing end user documentation, writing and executing test plans and cases, answering user questions and resolving system issues/problems in a timely manner.

A highly motivated, task oriented person driven to achieve client satisfaction and maintain quality standards. The individual must be well organized, technical, sensitive to project and production deadlines, have a quick learning ability and be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and ability to participate in multiple projects at one time.

Primary Responsibilities

* Works with IT Infrastructure to design appropriate server hardware, data base infrastructure, web server software, and media infrastructure to meet current and future needs.
* Manage audit requirements including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements including user access and maintenance of key records.
* Manage vendor relationships. Works with external vendors to identify opportunities and business process improvements.
* Ability to manage requirements processes and work with non-technical end users to interpret and document user requirements and develop functional specifications.
* Responsible for team level testing and test plans.
* Complies with established company, department and compliance systems and procedures to ensure continuity of support and adherence to compliance practices and procedures.
* Manages customer service, system enhancement and operational processes. Responsible for the creation of application support documents used by the overnight support team for critical processes, and coordination of efforts when support issues arise.
* Off-hour availability is required.
* Fosters and develops a partner relationship with clients through continuous business education. Key information areas include, service levels, pricing, and support solutions.
* Oversees initiatives for various company projects. Provides strategic oversight as well as project execution. Manage multiple projects of varied size and scope. Responsible for project tracking and status reporting and expenses to budget.
* Manage full-time and contract personnel as needed.

Job Requirements

* A bachelor's degree required. A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent is preferred.
* 10+ years demonstrated experience in application development.
* Experience in cloud technology.
* Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written.
* Strong Knowledge of software development and the system implementation life cycle is a required.
* Very strong analytic and problem solving skills.
* Provide cross training and backup support for other team members as well as work to expand overall knowledge sharing throughout the group.
