Job Description

SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the Senior Electronic Developers within the Electronic Trading Team, the Web Developer will focus on the design and development of the group's web based products, such as web dashboard and portal. Primary responsibilities will include front-end design, development and maintenance. The Web Developer will work closely with the Product Team within the Electronic Trading Group on meeting business specifications and needs, and planning future improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assume lead web development role on the team.
* Provide input on the design of the optimal user experience front end.
* Stay on top of the latest technologies and trends in website design and front end user experience.
* Follow Stifel's coding, development, testing and documenting standards.
* Produce prototypes and Proof of Concept for new features.
* Come up with suggestions for product improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum Required: BS or BA in Computer Science or a degree in Web/Multimedia Development.
* Minimum Required: 3-5 years of work experience.
* Ability to demonstrate prior work experience with portfolio.
* Programming Skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSCO, XML, Bootstrap. Java, SQL, Python.
* Exposure to other JS frameworks and third party libraries, such as, charting packages similar to CanvasJS and various data tables for large sets of data.
* Familiarity with data representation concepts and trends.
* Ability to work independently and produce quick prototypes.
* Ability to work in fast paced environment and generate ideas for improvement of the web products.
* Familiarity with web application servers and maintenance a big plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
