The Opportunity

Avenues is seek a passionate, innovative and creative visual and UI designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the user experience for our public-facing website, micro-sites, landing pages, email templates and other digital collateral.

Responsibilities

* Help define the user experience for new and existing websites
* Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design directions
* Create well-functioning interfaces that meet business, user and technological needs
* Take the wireframes to completed designs that can be used by developers
* Collaborate closely with developers and product manager to execute design ideas
* Present solutions and revise based on feedback to key internal stakeholders
* Quickly iterate and offer versions based on design feedback from stakeholders and learnings found in user testing or feature response

Qualifications

* Experience designing responsive websites, microsites and email templates using modern UI/UX design and best practices
* A keen design sensibility that is well aligned with Avenues' brand and aspirations
* Expertise in HTML, CSS, and Javascript to take designs to front-end mockups
* Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to carry out complex projects successfully in an environment of multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
* A passionate about education and design, and eager to continue to learn
* An impressive portfolio of your relevant design work
