We are currently recruiting for a Web Analyst located in our Support Center (Global Headquarters) located in Irving, TX.

What will you be doing?

The Web Analyst will be responsible for leading the technical foundation and entire on-line ecosystem for a variety of operations and quality assurance projects in support of the Michaels.com website with a focus on Michaels online custom businesses. This Team Member will hypothetically "own" the entire web offering, proactively anticipate potential issues, and be responsible for monitoring site performance. This will include coordinating and integrating the work of many other functional departments (IT, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and others) in support of a broad set of systems. The Web Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the web application suite and ensuring the stability and transactional capability of all the related websites.

How will you do it?

Major Activities

* Manage the application portfolio stack to develop, maintain and govern the overall solution for the entire on-line ecosystem of Michaels.com.
* Manage application software, application infrastructure and third-party application environments in the assigned application. This includes installation, upgrades and patches, tuning, creating links and interfaces between systems, developing application-specific security, performance monitoring and trouble-shooting.
* Coordinate implementation of production releases and related quality testing and assurance.
* Provide 24x7 support of site, server and infrastructure uptime and performance, and related reporting.
* Test, maintain, and monitor system processes using in-house and third party-tools.
* Responsible for management of problem logging/notification systems, and related reporting.
* Work with IT/vendors to assure proper hardware/software requirements are met based on expected traffic levels.
* Coordinate and manage relationships with 3rd party vendors linking to and supporting application stack.
* Consult with project teams to review issues and makes decisions on exceptions. Leads the analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.
* Evaluate, set and maintain technical standards. Perform other duties/functions as assigned.

Minimum Education

* Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

* Strong understanding of internet technologies
* Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Java and .Net Framework
* Experience with internet hosting infrastructure, including related hardware, software and protocols, security standards and practices
* Knowledge of infrastructure components, middleware, SOA, UML, Data Modeling, and Architecture repositories
* Knowledge of development environments and source control systems
* Knowledge of web services, integration technologies
* Knowledge of software development life cycle

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

* 3 or more years Web/digital experience specifically in B2C eCommerce within a retailer/eRetailer
* 5 or more years technical experience in information technology, including at least three (3) years' experience as an Operations Analyst

* Ability to communicate effectively with business and vendor representatives at all levels as well as maintain strong relationships
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Keep up to date and understand best practices and methodologies
