Position: VTC Engineer

Location: MDA - Fort Belvoir, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI

* $2,500 Hiring Bonus *

Position Summary:

Oversee VTC operations and crews within the NCR area. Oversee VTC installations (to include design and test). Operate, and maintain video conferencing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain Audio/video and conferencing-unique hardware, software, and peripherals. (e.g., Projection Equipment, Flat Panel Displays, Audio DSPs, Control system processors and Touchpanels, TelePresence CODECs, etc.).
* Develop, modify, troubleshoot and maintain control system source code.
* Provide A/V operational and VTC facilitation support.
* Utilize the existing incident management tracking tool (e.g., Remedy) for all related maintenance activities.
* Maintain A/V equipment per Information Assurance guidance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve collaboration and business application incidents.
* Provide preventative maintenance services in accordance with the agency's Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services program and utilizing the manufacturer's recommended preventative maintenance schedules and SOPs.
* Plan and oversee installations (to include design,Implement and test), operate, and maintain video conferencing equipment. Provide video conferencing event planning packages consisting of test plans, engineering assessments, configuration drawings, accreditation documentation (as required) and other applicable documents or information.
* Execute configuration management plans, processes, and procedures.
* Maintain collaboration systems and all associated VTC peripheral equipment associated with temporary venues such as auditoriums, future operations/control centers and Collaboration Event Venues, Set up, configure and operate all associated peripheral equipment to successfully execute video conferencing and/or collaboration events.
* Remain current with advancing technologies and provide recommendations for new technologies, including technology refresh, to the Government.
* Prepare, review, coordinate, update, and submit DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) supporting documentation.

Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

* Relevant Certifications:
* CEDIA
* CTS Certification a plus.
* CTS-I Certification a plus.
* CTS-D Certification a plus
* AMX ACE a plus
*
* ADA Specifications:
*
* Occasionally lifting of 5-10 lbs.
* Regularly required to talk and or hear.
* Extended working hours.
* Travel expected for this position.
* Will be required to use the computer screen for extensive periods of time.
