The Mobile Voice team recently released GEICO Alexa Skill and Google Action, which enabled policyholders to access multiple features with a straightforward and easy-to-use voice service. This is the first to support policy-level tasks within the insurance space. We are looking for a passionate, innovative, and hard-working Voice Developer who has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Architect, design, and implement new features on the Alexa, Google, and Chatbot platforms
* Be responsible for the development and maintenance of key system features
* Work with other team members and management to evaluate level of effort and technical feasibility
* Develop scalable components, code, and approaches to ensure our applications are robust, maintainable, and easily enhanced
* Learn emerging technologies quickly and help to create cutting edge services.
* Work in an Agile environment to deliver high quality deliverables with aggressive timelines

Required Qualifications:

* Experience with web application development and operating system across the full software lifecycle including design, implantation, testing, operations and maintenance
* Fluency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C# or C++
* Hands-on experience across front-end user interfaces. Fluency in HTML and Java Script
* Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
* Project planning/execution skills including estimating, scheduling, and executing on committed schedules
* Ability to utilize Git as a source control system together with GitHub or Bitbucket experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong ownership, urgency, customer focus, and drive
* BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
* Knowledge and experience with machine learning technologies
* Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
