In this role you will:

Provide corporate support for the enterprise infrastructure including physical and virtual servers. The engineer will provide senior-level maintenance, operation, and configuration of corporate VMware environment.

Responsibilities:

* Configure, manage, and maintain approximately 300 virtual servers.
* Maintain Cisco UCS and Nimble Storage.
* Design, document and implement new technology and upgrades.
* Perform Windows Server 2012/2016 Operating System patches and upgrades.
* Lead migration to Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
* Execute upgrade to latest VMware version.
* Technical lead for data center projects, changes, and deployments.
* Diagnose and resolve issues within the virtual environment.
* Manage backup and recovery solution using Veeam and AWS.
* Develop and update standard operating procedures.
* Assess and evaluate current infrastructure to make recommendations for enhancements.
* Develop, maintain, and implement a proactive capacity planning model to support business decisions.
* Manage virtual environment monitoring.
* Support after-hours technical calls, patching and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
* VMware certification VCP6-DCV or higher
* Experience managing large VMware environments
* Hands-on experience configuring and managing virtual networks
