This position is with our Advanced Development Programs known as the Skunk Works located in Fort Worth Texas. This is a full time senior technical lead position for the Virtual Prototyping group. The Virtual Prototyping group is an engineering visualization provider of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) services and solutions to Lockheed Martin Corporation and its customers worldwide. Through the power of advanced visualization, Virtual Prototyping helps people understand complex systems and ideas by "bringing concepts to life," allowing for better, faster decision making and, ultimately, assisting programs in winning new business and performing on existing programs. From conceptual design to sustainment, Virtual Prototyping provides discriminating technologies to support the complete product life cycle that articulate information using simulation, visualization, virtual collaboration, human computer interfaces, and synthetic real-time environments. The group provides unique capabilities and tailored solutions through product visualization, manufacturing simulation, serious games applications, vehicle simulation, operational awareness, virtual training, maintainability & sustainment operations, virtual & augmented reality, battle space visualization, continuous improvement efforts, facilities development, and much more. This position has 3 main responsibilities:

First, this position will be responsible for overseeing the Virtual Prototyping group's franchise custom software tools. This would include the management, modifications, and socialization of these tools with ADP/Aero programs, customers, functions, and leadership.

Second, this position will be responsible for all software development activities associated with the Virtual Prototyping group. This candidate must have advanced software coding experience that not only understands software development but has a strong cross discipline background in the other technology areas including big data, modeling & simulation, visualization, AI, web/cloud development, networking, etc. This individual would apply advanced technical software development principles, techniques, theories, concepts, and contribute to the development of new coding methodologies for the group's rapid/agile software development.

Third, this is a formal leadership position that will be responsible for leading group operations in Fort Worth TX and a small technical team. This role will also include helping make personnel decisions, conducting performance reviews, mentorship, interfacing with senior leadership, working directly with customers, collaborating with vender's / supplier's, and managing strategic partnerships. This individual needs to be a proven leader with tactical subject matter expertise and strategic vision. The candidate needs to have proven project management skills, the ability to establish/maintain positive and effective relationships with others. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task in a time critical environment working well under pressure, and provide effective oral and written presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Basic Qualifications

(1) Advanced software programming background with

C++ and other coding languages

(2) Experience in 3D graphics programming

(3) Specific experience with gaming engine technologies

(4) Experience leading advanced software development
