Description of the job

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

* European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old.
* Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any.
* Fluent in English.

A VIE position as Financial Systems Analyst has arisen within the Financial system services and system compliance department at Airbus Americas Headquarters in Herndon (Virginia, USA). You will assist the Financial Systems team in various project development activities, such as reporting, month-end close process and operational systems mainly related to the Final Assembly Line in Mobile for both Single Aisle and the new A220 program.

This 18 month's duration contract will start on the 1st of August, 2019 at the earliest.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your missions and activities will also be as follows:

* Gain exposure to core system upgrade and improvements (SAP, SAP /BW IFRP, SAP BPC). You will help implementing controlling tools and building financial reporting (including month-end budget reviews, operating planning, forecasts & actuals reporting) for Airbus America's FAL ALABAMA Project and Customer Services Department.
* Develop and promote of the One Roof concept of financial processes and systems fulfilling the finance business requirements across programs, functions and US subsidiaries. This includes developments of Access databases, links to SQL database, maintenance of current extraction from SAP systems, support and developments of Excel VBA.
* Organize and deploy trainings on the newly developed Reporting and processes to the Finance community.

This role will involve some travel for business in the world and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

* Educated to a 5 year's degree in IT (or equivalent) with strong skills in Finance
* Project management skills and experience(s) are a plus as many projects will be launched during the VIE period.
* Previous experience(s) of - at least - cumulated 52 weeks (including internships and apprenticeships) in a similar position is required (eligibility criteria for the Visa)
* Ability to analyse, describe complex finance processes, enhance & implement in an international environment
* Mastering the use of Excel, SQL database, Access
* The knowledge of SAP (ERP Finance and Logistics & BI) and Customs processes would be a plus
* Knowledge in Sales/marketing/procurement is a nice to have
* Soft skills : Pro-active Communication, Team spirit, Autonomy, Cutting edge technology minded
* Negotiation level of English
