Based in Buena Park, CA, Studio 60 functions as an in-house creative agency for Yamaha musical instruments and audio/visual products.

As UI/UX Developer you are an integral member of the Yamaha Studio 60 team and part of an organization with a deep and historic commitment to all things musical. You will work collaboratively with a variety of teams to understand requirements, implement designs, and create user flows that are grounded in UX principles and follow the corporate style guide. You are confident solving front-end technical issues or working with APIs using JavaScript. The UI/UX Developer will play a critical role in maintaining Yamaha's quality of presentation, customer experience, and brand image.

Here's what you'll do:

* Implement responsive design patterns and best practices
* Drive UI/UX design and communicate why particular UX design choices work best for the customer
* Create static or interactive mockups of design proposals for evaluation by stake holders
* Stay up-to-date on new technologies and trends to keep our web presence looking fresh while staying consistent to the brand
* Demonstrate strong participation by representing the customer and providing feedback on design choices while understanding the corporate, team, and project goals
* Coordinate with Studio 60 Creative Director to maintain brand continuity across various product lines

What you'll bring to the table:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in US, Graphic Design, Digital Design, or related discipline
* Minimum 2 - 3 years of professional experience as a front-end developer
* Minimum 1 - 2 years of professional experience in UI/UX development
* Strong experience with CSS, JavaScript, and HTML5
* Experience applying UX fundamentals to an eCommerce site
* Strong experience with a variety of JavaScript and CSS libraries like jQuery and Bootstrap
* Experience with the browser console and development tools
* Strong communication skills to effectively partner with a variety of team members, both technical and non-technical
* You have a deep need to make websites look good and work intuitively

* Experience developing UI with Accessibility in mind
* Ability to extend a theme by creating custom graphic assets from scratch
