Through collaboration with BD, PM, ENG, and Marketing, - we partner with device makers to help them either integrate pre-built Alexa platform solutions into their product, or explore new Alexa features for their product segment through prototyping, research, and design development.

About you
You are a pragmatic manager that can be an effective leader for our growing UX Design team. You demonstrate excellent communication and decision-making skills. You are at ease partnering with cross-discipline teams in representing the UX Design Team. You think first from the customer's perspective and set high standards for yourself and your team in developing amazing experiences.
You have comprehensive understanding of the current state of design management best practices. You are detail-oriented, lead with empathy, skilled in using data to make decisions and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:
* Providing leadership and mentoring to your team/partners * Provide direction and guidance to meet timely deliverables and milestones * Supervise team on daily basis in UX Design and development activities * Work closely with UX Design team, providing support as needed * Work with UX Design team to validate product designs, identify constraints and ensure quality and productivity * Identify resource requirements and develop best practices to ensure smooth and continuous product development processes * Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluation, promotion and development activities * Recommend new technologies, tools and methods to optimize overall design processes * Collaborating effectively with an agile, multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and championing great UX * Responsibly and effectively advocating for customers; imparting day-to-day strategic design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and technology needs. * Presenting design work to UX design peers, product teams and executive leadership * Owning the end-to-end design process and deliverables
