Job Description

The Transportation and Recipient Experience (TRX) Design team within Amazon's Worldwide Operations is seeking a UX Manager to drive innovation in our global transportation initiatives. You will work collaboratively with the design team, engineering, product, research, operations, and executives to envision, create, and launch world-class user experiences for pioneering new products and services.

UX Managers at Amazon strategically drive large programs that have a significant impact on our business, are energized to lead through ambiguity to create new experiences, and work across many different design disciplines. UX Managers also provide mentorship and are a conduit to other design programs across Amazon. In this role, you will set the creative direction for the new products and services in the transportation technology space while also managing a focused multi-disciplinary design team.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of tools and technologies across a broad spectrum of spaces including mobile apps, web, hardware, and physical spaces.

Responsibilities include

* Create the vision for innovative new solutions in a wide variety of user experience challenges including: mobile, desktop, hardware, and physical environments.
* Provide creative direction and visual language for transportation technology applications.
* Present and facilitate strategic design discussions to top-level executives.
* Produce design tenets, user journey maps, and prototypes across a variety of products.
* Facilitate cross-discipline workshops to drive clarity and decision making.
* Lead design team reviews to ensure the highest standards.
* Partner with the research team to design mechanisms to build up customer empathy and deploying deep understanding across a large program.
* Grow and develop junior designers.
* Collaborate with design leaders from other areas of Amazon to share and leverage human-center design patterns within operations.
* Drive process and tool optimization across the product lifecycle to accelerate the design team.
* Identify and facilitate new areas of growth and training opportunity for the design team to support ongoing learning.
