About the UnitThe University of Chicago Campaign: Inquiry and Impact (http://campaign.uchicago.edu), the most ambitious and comprehensive campaign in the University's history, is raising $5 billion to support faculty and researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs across the University. The campaign supports priorities in every division, school, department, and institute. Along with its fundraising goal, the campaign has an equally ambitious goal of engaging 125,000 alumni and friends through intellectual, professional, and social activities on campus, around the world, and online. The Prospect Development and Decision Support (PDDS) team maximizes the value of fundraising data and systems to Alumni Relations and Development (ARD) staff and the University. We offer insight derived from analytics and qualitative research to drive fundraising strategy. We help staff members to work more effectively with data and technology through staff education programs, process and system design services, and change management planning. Working at the individual, team, and organizational level, we help make ARD staff informed, efficient, and successful in their efforts to maximize the University of Chicago's fundraising and engagement potential.

Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing applications, systems architecture, and network infrastructure. Ensures operation and security of all servers and networks. Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades applications and hardware for the organization's infrastructure and for end-user devices.

Role ImpactIndividual Contributor

ResponsibilitiesThe job provides professional support and solves straightforward problems in the development, deployment, and support of information technology products and services used in teaching and learning.

1) With some direction from others, performs a variety of IT activities supporting an e-learning environment, such as designing curriculum content., 2) Analyzes resources and services ranging from basic online courses to application of technology in teaching. This competence is developed by performing structured work assignments., 3) Monitors and analyzes trends, identifies opportunities, and explores innovative approaches to teaching and learning problems. Works with other units across campus to aggregate services in an academic context., 4) Identifies existing content and converts it into an e-learning environment, then creates user support materials., 5) Performs other related work as needed.

Unit-specific Responsibilities

1) Oversee course calendar creation, scheduling, enrollment, and attendance tracking.

2) Track and analyze engagement and skill development progress for all ARD staff members.

3) Manage the AM 411 lecture series; including, brainstorming content, inviting speakers, and overseeing the execution of bi-monthly lectures.

4) Collaborate with Information Engagement colleagues to provide staff personalized help through the DASH Help Desk.

5) Assist in creating, designing, and executing on communications created by the Information Engagement team, including emails, newsletters, invites, videos, podcasts, and website content.

6) Seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.

8) Comfort with teaching and public speaking in classroom, small group, and one-on- one formats.

Working Conditions

Work Setting

1) Willingness and ability to travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.

2) Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends.

Education, Experience, and CertificationsMinimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

1) Experience developing, designing, and delivering training.

2) Experience with developing electronic learning formats, including webinars, e-learnings, and videos.

3) Experience with databases.
