Job Description:

As a junior systems engineer, you will work with a diverse group of talented engineers focused on the reliability and maintainability tasks for the ASARS-2A program. The Systems Engineer will represent the Whole Life Engineering Department, West, as a key team member of the program. This will include identifying key issues and addressing them with the optimal technical solution. Ability to manage and apply the knowledge of Systems Engineering, Test & Integration, Reliability, Maintainability, Safety, and Supportability (RMSS) techniques, theories, applicable company/industry standards, processes and policies to ensure that product(s) are developed which can be deployed, maintained and repaired within acceptable limits.

This position will require using engineering knowledge to assist sustainment engineers to develop systems engineering plans and reports, assisting with analyzing engineering drawings, developing reliability predictions, influencing product maintainability design decisions, and helping to ensure system design meets operational requirements. The individual will be required to interface with electrical & mechanical design engineers and integration & test engineers while developing engineering analyses and white papers.

Required Skills:

* Able to read and/or interpret engineering drawings
* Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
* This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
* Good presentation skills
* Programming Language: Python, JAVA, C++

Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
