Job Description

As a Python Engineer on our Trusted AI team, you will actively contribute to making AI more transparent, accessible and work to resolve pertinent issues related to fairness, ethics and bias.

Your responsibilities will include developing develop state-of-the-art reports and insights, automating data science tools, helping integrate our services via APIs, and working with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

Responsibilities:

* Develop, test, and support features of DataRobot
* Create and maintain automated unit tests and functional tests
* Design infrastructure for new features with the input of peers
* Plan capacity, manage application performance
* Manage individual projects and milestones with abundant communication of progress
* Seek, give, and receive critical feedback in a constructive manner, including but not limited to code review

Main Requirements:

* 3+ years development experience in Python
* Demonstrable knowledge of computer science fundamentals, whether by degree or otherwise
* Linux proficiency
* System/performance engineering (profiling process memory/cpu/io/network usage, system calls, flame graphs)
* Personal drive to get things finished
* Effective communication behavior

Candidates can distinguish themselves with the following criteria:

* 8+ years development experience
* Publicly reviewable contributions to interesting development projects
* Experience with both python 2 and 3
* Experience with R
* Experience supporting user-facing code and APIs
* Data Science experience
* Experience/understanding resource management services workflow (Hadoop/Yarn, Mesos, Kubernetes, AWS, OpenStack, Docker or any other)

Your responsibilities will include developing state-of-the-art reports and insights, consuming web API chart data, constructing insightful visualizations of complex topics, and working with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

The ideal candidate should have several years of industry experience in modern Javascript frameworks, write quality code, participate in design/development discussions and have a keen eye toward the User Experience of a product.

Main Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in front-end web development
* Expert skills in JavaScript, with up-to-date knowledge of ECMAScript 6 (ES2015)
* Production experience with AngularJS or React
* Experience with testing frameworks (unit and e2e) using Jasmine / Mocha / Protractor
* Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and the ability to write clean, semantic markup
* Experience using SASS or LESS CSS pre-processors
* Familiarity with standard front-end toolkit: automation/packaging tools such as Grunt, Gulp, Karma, Webpack, Babel etc.
* Familiarity with Git
* Time management skills applied to a demanding release cycle; knowing when to fix a bug with minimal code impact vs. refactoring to refactor

Desired Skills:

* Proficiency with D3.js.
* Experience with Python, MongoDB, Node and WebSockets
* Familiarity with the Linux command line
