Job Description:
As a UI / User Experience Designer you will work alongside a smart, passionate and driven technology team. Must be a team player, focused on creating smart and elegant design solutions for our clients who will present us with complex problems. Will need to wear multiple UX hats, conducting research to understand goals, tasks, obstacles, and motivations, taking those insight to a creative strategic recommendations and from there creating a UI presentation for business acceptance and development guidance. A firm understanding of design principles, development lifecycle, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation and definition, UI design, and user research and testing
* Work on both tactical and strategic aspects of a project
* Assist or lead research projects and/or design projects
* Collaborate with members of a multidisciplinary development team
* Ability to solve complex design problems
* Maintain and understanding of digital trends and capabilities
Required Skills;
* 7+years of experience to include UI design of complex applications
* Degree in interaction design, graphic design, or related field of study ( or work experience in lieu of degree)
* Excellent speaking, listening, and writing skills
* Understanding limitations of emerging technologies, responsive design, Angular, HTML, and CSS
* Understanding of design processes and methodology, its values and how to integrate into a client's process
* Past experience of building out of style guides and standards documentation is a plus

Desired Skills:
* Expertise in Liferay portal (Portlets, Layouts, Themes)
* Financials or HR systems a plus
