Job Description

Section 1: Position Summary

UAT Analyst I is an entry-level UAT position. This role has the responsibility to scope, analyze, create, and execute test scripts to validate that our internally-developed financial services software meets all specified user requirements.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Analyze and comprehend business requirements and acceptance criteria for projects
* Coordinate with scrum team to provide scope for UAT effort for each story within a sprint
* Work with Product Owner and QA team members to determine division of stories between UAT and QA
* Create test plan matrixes based on acceptance criteria, working with scrum team to ensure all use cases are included
* Set up test accounts and processes within the test environments to be used to execute test cases
* Verify test results against acceptance criteria and report issues found during testing in appropriate defect-tracking application
* Maintain tracking of issues to ensure they are brought to proper resolution
* Work with Product Owner to ensure that all stories are completed within business expectations by the end of a sprint
* Complete testing of content management requests in stage and production when assigned by the UAT Chapter Lead
* Clarify user-experience issues/questions with internal users and/or subject matter experts
* Attend all scrum team meetings, including daily stand-up, sprint planning, retros and refinements

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* A minimum of 1 year of experience as a user working with financial services or similar software applications, or a minimum of 1 year of experience performing testing of web-based customer service or similar applications
* Must be capable of using Microsoft Excel, as well as working with industry-standard bug tracking and reporting tools; Jira experience a plus
* Familiarity with financial systems and participant transaction processing is preferred, especially 529 Plan and/or 401k recordkeeping systems
* Ability to create detailed test scenarios based on the expected user experience when working with the software application
* Strong communication skills, especially the ability to translate technical terms into business terms
* Must be detail-oriented and analytical
