TV and Mobile UAT Analyst

Long-term (1 Year+) Consulting Engagement

Location: Dallas, Texas

We have an IMMEDIATE new job opening for a TV and Mobile UAT Analyst to join our team and work on-site at out client's HQ's based out of Dallas, Texas. The Television and Mobile User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Analyst will report directly to the Manager, Mobile Apps, and will be responsible for authoring test plans/cases/scripts, provide acceptance criteria, execution of the end-to-end TV and Mobile UAT testing process including facilitation with participants, collection of feedback, report findings, prioritization of issues raised, and recommendations for deployment. Our mobile platforms represent a significant portion of our Digital footprint and proper user acceptance testing is crucial to our success.

Responsibilities:

o Perform acceptance testing for, and representing, the perspective of Stakeholder and Customer.

o Ensure TV and mobile platform acceptance test coverage for all Connected Room applications efforts

o Ensure proper TV and mobile acceptance test case/script development

o Ensure proper TV UI acceptance testing/test case development and experience in testing TV applications

o Utilize User Acceptance Testing (UAT) tools and processes to ensure delivery of quality products that meet the needs of the brands and the online customers.

o Develop and execute user stories, acceptance criteria, and scenarios for acceptance testing in order to support the implementation of medium-large projects as well as small-medium product enhancement requests and defects.

o Support any and all digital quality items assigned and proactively seek out opportunities to improve quality.

o Adhere to policies and procedures that will improve the overall UAT operation and effectiveness.

o Communicate important and necessary information to outward team members via memos, reports and phone calls.

o Other duties may include regression testing of core areas and products, inclusion in Usability testing, and review and provide feedback of project documentation.

Required Skills:

o At least 3+ years of UAT/QA testing experience in mobile applications, preferred TV UI testing experience.

o 3+ years of recent native mobile app iOS/Android testing

o Knowledge of UAT testing principles and understand the differences between QA and UAT areas of coverage and responsibilities.

o Experience with today's TV streaming devices and understanding of TV user interface with remote control is a requirement.

o Testing expertise of mobile applications particularly on TV UI, iOS and Android mobile platforms

o Proficiency with automation testing technologies and API testing

o Must be highly-motivated with a desire to achieve success through collaboration and teamwork, possessing the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience and people from other departments and/or outside of Hilton

o Experience in functional, system, user acceptance testing, cross platform compatibility and database testing

o In-depth knowledge of QA/UAT philosophies, guiding principles and industry best practices

o Television interface with remote control testing experience

o Experience Mobile testing involving Bluetooth technologies

o Experience writing and executing test cases

o Experience with writing acceptance criteria

o Work with QuickBase is a plus

o Ability to clearly and concisely communicate/describe problems in both written and oral form

o Translate business requirements and customer needs into relevant scenarios that are expected to be executed by the user community while engaging with the app(s)

o Strong understanding of delivery methods such as Agile, Waterfall or V-Model

o Experience in designing and executing both functional and non-functional tests (E.g., Performance, Security, etc.)

o Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and leadership

o Strong technical awareness and understanding of Mobile architectures, preferred Television streaming or cable box architecture

o Ability to work independently with little supervision

o Ability to lead test activities on a project

o BA/BS Bachelor's degree required
