What you'll be doing

Platform Support

As an apprentice working in the Digital Workplace Platform Support team within Dynamic IT, you will be involved with a wide range of critical platforms for BT's people to have the best digital and connected experience. You'll be immersed in a wide range of collaborative services; Microsoft Office 365, Email Technology, Instant Messaging Services, SharePoint and BT Video to name but a few. Working alongside other members of the team, you'll be delivering brilliant and highly available services used by thousands of employees. In addition to the digital services platforms themselves, you'll also use a lot of scripting and SharePoint skills to help us automate, monitor, track, audit and report.

Access Management

You will work as an apprentice within the Privileged Access Management team, in the Digital Workplace Unit in BT Technology. You will join a security team which is responsible for managing access to BT's most secure systems and platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring the right people get the right access to the right information and for the right reasons. You will help build and maintain the security systems and processes that protect BT from cyber threats and allow BT to manage its systems (in its own data centres or in the cloud) and the information it holds with the outmost care and responsibility.

Voice and Data

The Voice and Data operations teams working within BT on the EE mobile network, are a collection of highly skilled engineers that support a range of technologies that in turn makes up the network that delivers mobile services to our customers. Anything from making a phone call, sending a text, or accessing your favourite website and social media apps. They are largely invisible but are an essential element, without them we would not have a business. It is an exciting place to be, learning an abundance of new skills and working in a fun team environment here in Bristol. We may be part of a big company but the operations team feels like working for a small, dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of new technology, in a supportive team environment.

Your apprenticeship will be split into placements and will be focused on giving you the skills to understand how the network and services run over the mobile network. During your placements you will be given training and support that will introduce you to the technology used to create the network, services deployed within EE and how we maintain them.

Advanced apprenticeship - You will need to achieve (or have achieved) five GCSEs at grade 4-9 (C or above). Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
