DESCRIPTION:

Must have experience with installing and configuring software, hardware and networks. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Upgrade systems with new releases and models. Setup accounts and workstations.

Day to Day Duties:

* First Responder to Newsroom and Live News Center


* VM Windows Maintenance (Hard Drives Fill with Video downloads)


* Accounts Locked, fix email problems (Outlook disruptions)


* VoIP Phones and cell phones (Assist iPhone first time users and Replacements)


* Printers (Local and installed on fresh VM's by location)


* News Correspondent Support


* iRig Audio tracking training and support


* Support of Ethernet based shared storage devices (ex. Harmonic MediaGrid)


* Sony Content Manager Support


* Coordinate between Corporate IT, CBS News IT


* Manage Laptops and desktops in regions (Washington DC Bureau, Los Angeles, London)


* Support ENPS


* Coordinate the creating images of new computers, updating to Windows 10


* Asset Management of Windows computers.


* Support for remote users( Network Outage, software license management)


* Coordinate New User Accounts


* Acquire ENPS accounts after AD accounts are created.


* Train new users to handle Windows VM inside Mac OS.


* Setting email accounts, two factor authentication.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience as System Administrator, Knowledge of system security and data backup recovery, familiarity with various OS and platforms, Resourcefulness and problem solving attitude, ability to interact and train personnel.

BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering

5-7 years' experience
