Our AI tech represents the next generation of artificial brains for robots - it enables machines to perceive, learn, and navigate complex environments, while avoiding people and obstacles. We partner with commercial equipment manufacturers, and global consumer electronics brands, to transform their products into self-driving robots.

Our Client Services Team is seeking a Technical Support Software Engineer. This role will be responsible for supporting all software aspects of robots deployed in real life application by reviewing information collected from the robot and accessible in the cloud, analyzing the events impacting customer's operation, identifying potential causes and eventually offering valid solutions. This position will be the focal point and voice of customers to interact with engineering groups to drive continuous product improvements.

Responsibilities:

* Act as the elevation point of the frontline team and OEM partners to review potential software issues
* Drive the collection of all necessary data required to diagnosis reported issues
* Conduct in depth analysis and testing to identify root cause and potential solutions
* Interact with field team, partners and customers to direct or assist the field activities that relate to software
* Operate as the go to person for the Technical Service team who understands overall Brain Robot's architecture and backend infrastructure
* Lead quality and product improvements and champion solutions for the field
* Proactively identify the requirements of tools or infrastructure improvements that will help meet aggressive business scaling goals, and participate in the design discussion

Qualification

* Bachelor degree of computer science or equivalent
* 2-5 years of software support experience
* Rich experience in troubleshooting complex issues in software products
* Proficient in Linux and shell
* Hands on experience in database, SQL/PostgreSQL
* Ability to understand complex infrastructure and architecture
* Logical thinking and taking rational approach to complex issues
* Passionate and responsible
* Great communication skill to articular problems and convince others

This position reports to the Director of Technical Services and is located in our San Diego Headquarters office.
