Job Description

We are seeking for a Technical Support Engineer to be part of our Operation team which own the technical aspects of NICE's Customer Journey Solutions (CJS) deployment and support. The engineer will responsible on a day-day job on deployment, deployment automation, networking & security configuration on AWS (Amazon Web Service) and on-premise deployment and technical support. This person must have experience in networking, configuration, deployment and support of large scale production environments.

In this role, you'll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate CJS production & POCs deployments. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our test and production environments.

Required Skills/Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Proven experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Background in Linux/Unix Administration

Knowledge installing, managing and supporting Red Hat Linux, Java-based applications, Apache web servers and Tomcat

Experience with managing and monitoring large scale production environments

Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Jenkins or an equivalent - advantage

Knowledge of Shell/Bash and additional scripting languages (Python, Perl or equivalent.)

Networking knowledge - high advantage

Problem solver, able to remove roadblocks

Ability to work under high pressure, with flexible hours

A highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working in a virtual, globally-distributed team

High attention to details and accuracy

Valuable Technical Skills

Experience with Big Data Technologies - advantage

Experience with Automation and Orchestration Tools - advantage

Storage experience - advantage

Any experience with Hadoop (Hbase), Vertica, Cognos, etc - advantage

Java development skills - advantage

Knowledge of SQL - advantage
