Job Description

The on-site technical specialist will be responsible for providing in house support on Testing, Inspection & Auditing programs. The on-site technical specialist will work with the SGS global teams to facilitate testing consistent with the global testing requirements and protocols.

1 Primary Responsibilities:

* Dedicated technical specialist supporting all Testing, Inspection, Auditing and regulatory information services.


* Provide proactive response to client's Quality Assurance and Compliance Departments.


* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client's Quality Assurance, Product, Compliance, Vendor & Suppliers


* Understand client company structure, products and business culture.


* Maintain and update all testing, inspection and auditing Standards Operating Procedures and enforce compliance within the SGS network and client Supply Chain.


* Supervise all SGS Sharepoint sites and Datamanager systems.


* Address all Services Issues in a timely manner and escalate urgent issues to SGS management.


* Quarterly Review for client & other pre-defined management reporting required


* Update testing protocols


* Daily update reports to SGS Reporting Manager



2 Specifically These Responsibilities Are To:

* Manage the use of Sharepoint Tracker and Datamanager. Assure that all shareholders are uploading details and reports in all systems.


* Update all Testing Manuals to comply with products for regulatory, safety and performance requirements.


* Train all labs and Regional Key Account Managers (RKAM) and Client Service Representatives on service requirements.


* TAT reporting from primary labs upon request


* Coordinate department workshops, seminars, team training, etc which are provided by SGS



1 Requirements & Qualifications:

* Strong Microsoft Office technical skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook


* Knowledge of FDA-regulated and children's products is necessary.


* General knowledge of US and Canada federal & state regulations.


* Ability to work well independently and adapt in a dynamic fast paced environment


* Ability to multitask, detail oriented with a keen sense of urgency


* Self-motivated, proactive, and organized


* Strong oral and written communication skills


* Excellent computer skills
