Job Description

As the Manager of the Live Operations Team, you will work with multiple disciplines to ensure we are advancing our Live Operations team towards monitoring capabilities, building scalable and sustainable dedicated live operations management systems, and establishing how the teams responds to critical live issues. Working closely with a wide variety of teams both internal and external to the franchise, you will be at the center of driving a best in class Live Operations team, defining what is required to be most effective and impactful for our players. We're looking for an individual who excels in organization, has superb communication abilities, and is comfortable managing the resolution of issues in a complex online ecosystem. The ideal candidate is passionate about working in technology and has a long history of working with large scale systems, live operations teams, and software developers in a range of technical environments.

* 4+ Years of experience working in a production role where you've managed cross-functional teams in the creation, delivery, and ongoing support of complex live operations and services
* You are comfortable being hands on with the team you are managing
* Deep understanding of live operations in a cloud based online ecosystem
* A natural problem solver, who enjoys finding creative solutions and has a mindset of creating more with less. Demonstrated ability to balance reality with aspiration.
* Exceptional communications skills both oral and written
* Ability to provide the right level of detail and clarity to a variety of audiences
* Ability to communicate equally effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to create, track, and resolve complex Live issues and postmortem processes

* Understand how to manage people and enable them to do their best work. You should bring superb communication skills and demonstrate the ability to motivate, mentor and grow your team in a healthy and balanced way.
* Be able to quickly develop deep knowledge about tools, teams, and technologies.
* Proficient in running teams with agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban
* Strong preference for applicants with cloud system or other technical experience
* Perform regular operational review with key business partners and with game team to drive development changes
* Monitor KPIs related to game and operational health of the product
* Partner with analytics team to deliver needed operational health telemetry to all business partners
* Proven track record for meticulous planning, follow-up, and organizational skills
* Ability to grow and develop a team, as well be collaborative with business partners to achieve the overall game objectives
* Ability to work with analytics and data to understand player impact and identify the root causes and need to address issues/outages
* Strong collaborator that works well with large cross functional teams
* Demonstrated experience in driving change through influence
* Excellent communicator that can share ideas, status, progress across a broad audience
* Natural consensus builder, with demonstrated experience in balanced decision making and approaches

* Accountable for running distributed teams using the most suitable methodology enables them to be efficient, flexible and delivery focused. This could include daily stand ups and communicating clear outcomes, statuses and risks.
* Deliver critical core services and tools to end users and seeing complex features through the complete integration cycles while collaborating with other teams.
* Provide transparency for ongoing features, outages and bug fixes, sharing schedules, and risks and dependencies to stakeholders in order to ensure there is clear insight into the activities of our various product teams and what we are addressing in the live environment.
* Providing leadership and guidance through solid planning and execution of work.
