Job Description

Come help us to build a world-class Public API framework as part of one of Amazon's fastest growing strategic businesses; Performance Advertising. Our global platform provides self-service low-latency systems at massive scale for Advertising Products. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth, and as such our organization's initiatives are highly visible to Amazon's executive leadership. We are growing at an unprecedented rate with a seemingly endless range of new opportunities, and have been a broad mandate to aggressively experiment and innovate.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to participate in the full development lifecycle of Amazon's public Advertising API and API framework. These services are instrumental to enabling advertisers and their partners to easily create, manage and optimize advertising campaigns through programmatic and file-based interfaces. Such services are at the core of Amazon's plans to scale its advertising programs. Our aspiration is to build the fastest and most reliable API in the business.

You will work closely with engineering teams and upstream advertising services to expose internal system capabilities to the outside world in a fashion that accommodates extreme load and latency requirements. You'll have opportunity to work closely with external integrators and other consumers of Advertising APIs

Key Responsibilities include:

* Interact with executive leaders, product owners, project stakeholders, and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver features and systems
* Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
* Plan and manage multiple parallel projects
* Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
* Communicate issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner and engage project stakeholders
* Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
* Be the glue that is able to understand, plan, and manage the cross-team inter-dependencies for complex systems
* Apply and teach best software planning and engineering practices across agile and blended approaches
* Drive customer impact across multiple programs, dependencies, and constraints
