Job Description
Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Technical Program Manager to join our Production Engineering team.
The Production Engineering division is responsible for providing innovative processes and tools for the operation of Tower's trading platforms.
Responsibilities
* Driving initiatives for infrastructure capacity and resilience management (networks and hardware)
* Contributing to data center standards by designing, auditing and improving procedures
* Working with technical managers and internal clients to identify future expansion needs or opportunities for optimization, and execute the project life cycle (Initiation, Approved, Active, Completed)
* Generating and maintaining accurate project documentation and project plans (MS Project/JIRA/Confluence, etc.)
* Leading the design, development, and deployment of work plans and producing the required tasks, resources and schedule for complex projects
* Escalating project and task anomalies and correcting problems identified during projects
* Facilitating the management of expectations for project delivery to trading teams and management
* Planning and coordinating activities for physical work in a data center (physical hardware and network installations) as well as application layer and general concepts for network/server configurations
Qualifications
* At least 5 years of work experience in a technology or finance environment, to include at least 3 years of experience in the Project Management field (PMP preferred)
* Experience with managing the lifecycle of software projects is a must
* Experience with market data, exchanges and data centers
* Excellent time management skills, including exceptional attention to detail and meticulous organization
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* A passion for technology and maintaining a competitive edge
* A Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)

* Knowledgeable about IT infrastructure and data centers
* Knowledgeable about application development cycles (SDLC, scrum, agile)
* Knowledgeable about pre go-live requirements and deployment readiness
* Able to travel internationally
* Highly analytical
* Able to learn quickly and assume new responsibilities as the firm's priorities change
* Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Able to work both individually and with a team
