Amazon is seeking to hire a System Development Engineer to join the Amazon Global Outsourcing Customer Service team. In this role you will help shape the technical direction for the systems and networks that run Amazon's worldwide customer service. This includes 100+ sites across 30+ countries supporting Amazon worldwide customers. This position will be located in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities include:

* Helping to develop the Technology infrastructure strategy for Amazon's worldwide customer service organization
* Building and maintaining productive relationships with business and IT teams both within Amazon and with our outsourcing partners
* Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
* Write high quality distributed system software
* Perform development and maintenance of key system features
* Drive best practices and engineering excellence
* Working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
* Establish architectural principles, selecting design patterns and mentoring team members on their appropriate application
* Architect and deploying web based services in a secure and scalable manner
* Administer internal and externally facing AWS services
* Maintain a mid-level understanding of IT infrastructure at outsourced partner sites as well as Amazon Customer Service technologies
* Drive technical projects across our Global Outsourcing network
* Think big and help architect and maintain complex, global, cloud based solutions.
