Job Description

Our major tech client in Redmond is looking for a technical PM top join their team, and collaborate across disciplines to drive software/firmware planning, implementation, and integration.

Responsibilities include:

* Drive software/firmware program for a device program
* Drive definition of software/firmware requirements, dependencies, work breakdowns, implementation plans and software integration planning across all disciplines
* Collaborate with silicon vendor as well as OS and Apps teams to drive end-to-end software program planning
* Define software schedule for the device program
* Drive the execution and delivery using common engineering tools, triage, tracking and reporting aligning to product milestones
* Drive software/firmware planning for device program hardware builds and work with MTE and Factory teams to ensure software bring-up and enablement of hardware builds
* Anticipate risks; assess, mitigate, and manage accordingly
* Organize and present program reviews/status to engineering, business, and senior management.

Requirements

* 4-8 years of project management experience, Master's degree preferred, PMI Certification required
* Knowledge/background in software industry products/services/applications
* Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues
* The ideal candidate will have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others
* Specialized knowledge as defined by project required
* Must have excellent communication skills, experience working with external vendors, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skills
* Proficiency in MS Office required
