What you'll be doing...

The CSG (Corporate Systems Group) Programs and Strategy team is responsible for strategy and implementation of systems solutions that support ERP (Enterprise Resource Platform) and other systems activity for Verizon Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, HR and Supply Chain. The Quality Assurance Center of Excellence (QA COE) Tech Manager has responsibility for centralized/automated testing of projects that impact Verizon's ERP's as well as other applications in the CSG portfolio. This position will interface with multiple groups and projects and is comprehensively responsible for managing overall quality assurance strategy, cutover strategy, planning, governance, test management, execution, status, metrics, issue resolution and data conversion strategy, as well as the tools to accomplish these.

* Direct responsibility for the quality assurance team comprised of 5-10 full time employees and contractors, including cost & budget management, team/people/skill development, performance review and target setting/achievement.
* Responsibility for a team managing and executing test cycles (Regression, Integration, User Acceptance, Performance) of projects varying in size and complexity, often large-scale and complex programs (duration >1y, budget > $10M) across all process teams that touch the ERP's and other systems in the CSG portfolio (e.g. GL, AM, PC, Labor, AP, SC, etc.) producing enhancement and upgrade deliverables with significant impact on Verizon Finance and IT landscape (line of sight > 2 years).
* Overall responsibility for quality strategy and planning, execution, status and metrics, issue resolution including data conversion strategy (end2end testing & quality cycle).
* Design and execute strategy for expanding the QA COE into a CSG-wide testing center of excellence - including the development/proliferation of a standardized test script inventory and standard test and quality approach (e.g. for ITC integrating test, RTC regression test, UAT user acceptance test, data conversion). Deploy this center to both large projects and smaller defects and enhancements.
* Central interface for all testing and cutover planning between the CSG groups, development teams, program teams and Finance/end user.
* Flexible collaboration, complex solution/commitment development and central contact point of multiple internal and external and different level of stakeholder groups (especially Top-Management/executive level) with various demands/requirements and intersections to align/define the long-term strategy, align/decide on the project prioritization to fulfill the strategic goals.
* Identify and implement cutting-edge test automation and orchestration tools and processes from both inside and outside Verizon.
* Compliance to Verizon-wide policies and procedures or direct impact on the re-design of existing policies and procedures.
* Establish and oversee effective issue resolution, change control, and risk management processes.
* Maintain project plan (and phase gate reviews) and report semi-weekly status dashboards at project, Operations Committee, Key Stakeholders, and Executive Steering Committee levels.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Six or more years of relevant work experience.
* Experience with various quality assurance software suites such as TOSCA, Worksoft, Selenium.

Even better if you have:

* BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, FP&A, IT, Project Management or Masters or MBA in a related business or technology field.
* Experience with large system program implementations (SAP, PeopleSoft).
* Experience with strong (project) management.
* PMI certification or proven track record, certified public accountant.
* Ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced environment with good time-management skills and the ability to manage teams independently.
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and organizational skills and the ability to deliver across levels (Top-management to analyst).
* Previous people management or supervisory experience.
* Experience working with a variety of employee-facing applications in the Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain, Sourcing spaces.
* Experience managing diverse teams with varying backgrounds in multiple locations.
* Willingness to travel.
