Position Description:

The Technical Lead / architect will be the senior technologist as part of a team of developers, analysts and testers to build cloud-native systems, and provide leadership in software architecture. The Technical Lead will be knowledgeable in application development, software best practices, cloud architecture, and Agile methodology.

As Solution Architect, you will work as a key member of the CGI team, partnering with client internal business and technology organizations to design and implement solutions across the software development lifecycle according to the organization's strategic roadmap in conjunction with industry standards.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

* Work at client-site in Arlington, VA
* Work directly with senior clients (including C-Level clients) to articulate and document the rationale for Solutioning decisions and CGI's approach
* Create architecture roadmaps, prototype design solutions for systems, develop code frameworks, educate others on design of solution and standards, review code and provide constructive feedback on improvement, research and recommend changes in software development standards and processes.
* Make suggestions and recommend about CloudFoundry platform, Cloud and technology adoption, including libraries, and frameworks.
* Leverage standard DevOps tools / processes, maximizing what is available unless there are gaps. Recommend tools that will speed delivery and ensure quality of products

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

* US citizen with uninterrupted & verifiable history for the past 5 years
* At least 7 years of relevant experience working as a senior developer, technical lead and/or architect.
* Ability to lead a team of full stack software developers using technologies such as NodeJS, React, and Elasticsearch, and Cloud Foundry.
* Strong experience with leading frameworks/libraries including Spring, Express, Angular, React, Bootstrap, jQuery.
* Work with the product owner and Agile resources to design application solutions that leverage user research, experience design, and service design
* Develop cloud based, high performant architecture.
* Provide code review feedback for developers.
* Well-versed in web technologies and modern architecture as well as legacy systems and best practices.
* Work effectively with cross-functional team members and client-internal IT organizations
* Experience interpreting business models, system models, use cases and sequence diagrams, and creating technical architecture specifications, class diagrams and object models.
* Lead API development for data analysis and web applications.
* Design and implement Software Development Life Cycle for team project, including Git Flow, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
* Communicate with client to provide guidance on technical architecture.
* Prototype new systems, tools and methods to improve application performance and developer productivity

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience enforcing application security and security best practices.
* Experience with CloudFoundry such as Cloud.gov or Pivotal CloudFoundry
* Open source tools including Mongo DB, Sprintboot, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, J2EE Architecture, or Net Architecture
