The Team: Training

This position is in the Training Team, which is responsible for internal and external, standard and customized, educational services. Cognex understands educating customers is the foundation of successful and efficient use of our products to maximize satisfaction at our customer base.

The task of the Team is transferring the required knowledge of Cognex Vision and ID systems to new and existing customers and employees for the best start into the world of Cognex industrial image processing and to achieve the best results for customer applications while at the same time providing an excellent out of the box epxerience.

Training is an essential tool for the overall business. It gives confidence to our employees and customers and it helps to ensure customer applications are up and running as fast as possible and working reliable.

The Role: Technical Instructor:

The Team is seeking an Instructor with technical background, strong communication skills and a passion for working close with technical and non-technical people to provide strong presentations, trainings and demonstrations.

Essential Functions:

* Perform technical product trainings in our European training centers like Karlsruhe, Paris, Milano, Budapest and others.
* Designing and producing of material used for customer or application specific trainings
* Execution of custom trainings at customer sites, usually inside Europe
* Support on planning, organization and executing of training projects
* Deliver effective demos and presentations to both, a large and small technical and non-technical audience
* Update, localize and adept global training documents and material
* Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Good programming skills in C#, VB and/or JavaScript are beneficial.
* Knowledge of basic optics is nice to have. Knowledge of machine vision systems would be an advantage.
* Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken is mandatory. Any additional European language, especially French, is of advantage.
* Team Player.
* Self-starter, comfortable with working with remote management.
* Must be sensitive to sales situations.
* Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Open to join our "work hard, play hard, move fast" philosophy.

Minimum education and work experience required:

* Completed technical training, ideally with some years of experience in an industrial environment.
* Or you are Graduate of a technical university and you are searching for your first challenge in an international company.
