Technical Delivery Lead

Capital One is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead with strong technical han and organizational skills to lead the implementation of network related initiatives across multiple platforms and technologies. Candidate should have an understanding of network technology to include, but not limited to: LAN, WAN, Firewall, Load-balancing, and DNS. This role is responsible for managing delivery across multiple infrastructure initiatives. Candidate will interface and coordinate with various technical and non-technical teams to include engineering, operations, business partners, and third party resources to drive solutions from concept to implementation. Understanding of Agile Methodologies, Change Management, SDLC, Release Management, and Project Management tools and processes are highly desired.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead successful implementations of network solutions, working in close collaboration with stakeholders and engineering resources


* Ensure solutions are implemented using optimal methods, strategies and processes within time and budget guidelines


* Identify technical, performance, and other issues and proactively communicate with stakeholders about best practices


* Work closely with engineering teams to manage and resolve technical issues


* Serve as a central point of contact across assigned network implementations


* Identify and manage risks, assumptions, and escalation.


* Deliver event-related communications and status updates.


* Provide resource estimates for specific network implementation work items


* Serves as team SME for Technology Change Management process (internal and external)


* Understand and navigate the Capital One processes and reflect the process in the scope of work


* Participate in technical implementation using agile methodology (Scrum and Kanban).


* Plan and coordinate release events and prepare a minute-by-minute (MBM) plan, host Go/No Go


* Coordinate testing plans and resourcing


* Review and evaluate post-event success and identify continuous improvement opportunities


* Capture and document lessons learned, refer to lessons learned for new event planning



Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree or military experience


* At least 2 years of hand-on experience with:
* Routers and Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxy, and Gateways
* IP Addressing and sub-netting


* Enterprise Network protocols


* High-speed data


* Voice Services


* Virtual Private Network




* At least 3 years of Network Engineering experience in and enterprise environment


* At least 3 years of experience with deployment and release issue resolution management


* At least 3 years of experience coordinating, collaborating and scheduling with stakeholders to facilitate Network Implementation and avoid impediments



Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a Technical Delivery Lead/Product or Project Management position


* At least 5 years of hand-on technical experience with:
* Routers and Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxy, and Gateways
* IP Addressing and sub-netting


* IP Addressing and sub-netting


* Network protocols (ex: TCP, HTTP, HTTPS. UDP…)


* High speed data (MPLS)


* Voice Services (VoIP, ISDN, Analog, e911)


* Virtual Private Network (VPN)




* Experience managing multiple Network products in an Agile Environment
