JOB LOCATION: Round Lake, IL

POSITION: Technical Consultant

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Establish processes for infrastructure as code using cloud automation tools; eliminate repetitive and manuals processes for provisioning servers and infrastructure; support new and ongoing development efforts based on DevOps framework; use DevOps practices to deliver application and infrastructure quickly and leverage the use of source code repository, serverless technologies, open source automation and deployment tools, containerization of software, etc.; perform administration, management and support of hypervisor environment including storage, networking, guest virtual machines and database versions allowing infrastructure to be defined and managed via software/code; conduct proof of concept / proof of value of new technologies to transition from on premise data center to a hybrid / Cloud environment; architect and design solutions that leverage the use of latest capabilities related to cloud database technologies. Work with other architects to support projects related to implementations and migration to/from different cloud providers; use Oracle Real Application Cluster(RAC) and Oracle database performance tuning, database technologies and solution design; provide support and management of Oracle databases, Oracle Data Guard replications, Oracle Real Application cluster, Oracle Linux and other database components in the private and public cloud; support and manage Oracle Real application clusters running on Engineered systems like Oracle Exadata and Oracle Supercluster; solve critical incidents as it relates to database architecture, participate in RCA investigation and provide technical advice to computer system owners; use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to provide support for comprehensive system management platform for managing database infrastructure; Utilize Trackwise, BPLM, Remedy and ManageNow to create and update Oracle documentation in environments regulated by FDA and Sarbanes-Oxley Act related to migrations, disaster recovery and database backups using TDP technology; Execute performance and risk assessment using IBM SRM and SMSR in IBM Cloud Softlayer; Utilize IBM SARM, GSAR, APAR, Cirats, CBN and ISEC complies with industry standards on Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager; Utilize Six Sigma, IBM ITIL v3 foundations and SIP programs on Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and DB2 databases on the service delivery and operation management.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Business Technology or related field or foreign equivalent degree. 7 years of related experience. Required skills: Utilize Trackwise, BPLM, Remedy and ManageNow to create and update Oracle documentation in environments regulated by FDA and Sarbanes-Oxley Act related to migrations, disaster recovery and database backups using TDP technology (5 years); Execute performance and risk assessment using IBM SRM and SMSR in IBM Cloud Softlayer (2 years); Utilize IBM SARM, GSAR, APAR, Cirats, CBN and ISEC complies with industry standards on Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager (6 years); Utilize Six Sigma, IBM ITIL v3 foundations and SIP programs on Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and DB2 databases on the service delivery and operation management (5 years).
