Manages a function or unit within the technology environment. May manage associates and be responsible for hiring, termination, performance management. Supports systems through maintenance, modification, and problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations. Formulates/designs systems scope and objectives for the applications/development of a major project or multiple lesser projects. Responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the quality and timeliness of other systems professionals. Works on most difficult or complex systems. Provides training and technical assistance to more junior staff.

Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all production support, architecture, and technology constraints. May be responsible for coordinating teams to accomplish development in a matrixed organization.

This role is responsible for:

* Working with the application teams for deployment related activities and reviewed codes and identified issues in code that would impact the platform
* Working with DBA and SA for several platform level issues and planned various platform level upgrades
* Providing technical and functional knowledge in processing and/or techniques of Midrange ETL tool
* Managing a cross-matrix environment with Global resources
* Building metrics and tools for maintaining the stability of the platform.

Required Job Skills:

* Using Linux OS scripting/administration to support platform upgrades. Using Autosys scheduler to schedule and install new application jobs, monitor and fix failures, fixing failures, and restart jobs
* Utilizing Java to design automation to monitor and support various applications and Using SQL to validate data in Impala, HiveQL, and Teradata tables.
* Using Cloudera Distribution of Hadoop, Kafka, and Kerberos to monitor navigator logs and manage user authentication.
* Writing and maintaining automation scripts using Python to validate performance degradations

Desired Job Skills:

* Experience in administering large database platforms/warehouses
* Some experience in Python development.
* An understanding of data science stacks, including notebooks, machine learning, R, etc.
